Introduction to Our Academy Consultation Process
Welcome to this dedicated consultation page for the St Francis de Sales Catholic Federation. We are entering a period of reflection and dialogue as we consider the possibility of academisation and joining Lux Mundi, an established and growing Catholic academy trust.
In an ever-evolving educational landscape, schools face increasing challenges—including falling pupil numbers, financial pressures and curriculum demands. In light of these, it is essential that we take proactive steps to secure the long-term success of our schools and the pupils we serve. Joining a wider family of Catholic schools offers us an opportunity to strengthen our mission, protect our Catholic identity, and work collaboratively with like-minded communities who share our values and vision.
This move is not taken lightly. It comes from a place of deep care and commitment to our children, families and staff. We firmly believe that becoming part of the Lux Mundi Catholic Academy Trust will enhance the quality of Catholic education we provide, support strong academic outcomes and enable the young people of the St Francis de Sales Federation to continue to flourish—spiritually, academically, and socially.
